Soon, the barbecue season will be upon us again and we will be enjoying many pleasant evenings with friends and family. But after a long evening of dining, there always comes a time when the mess must be cleaned up. And whether you have used a barbecue grid on a charcoal barbecue or a grill grid on a luxury garden fireplace or fire pit, the grid will need to be cleaned after use. No fun but with our 6 life hacks it will be a lot easier!
Tip 1 - The newspaper
The barbecue grid can be easily cleaned with a newspaper, who would have thought that? After grilling, wrap the grid in a newspaper and moisten the newspaper. The next day you can therefore clean the barbecue grid with a kitchen paper.
Tip 2 - Aluminium foil
Another tip is aluminium foil. Cleaning the barbecue grid is namely very easy with only a piece of aluminium foil. Lightly rub the grid and all dirt flies off!
Tip 3 - Lemon
By rubbing half a lemon over the barbecue grid, you can clean the grid in no time. Easy, right?
Tip 4 - The rubbish bag
You can also easily clean a barbecue grid by putting it in a rubbish bag. Lay the bag flat on the ground, put some biotex in it and pour in a kettle of boiling water. Then tie the bag shut and let everything rest for a night. The next day, you can easily wipe the grate clean with a brush.
Tip 5 - The grass
If you lay the grid in the grass after barbecuing, then the next day you can simply remove the dirt with a paper towel. Handy because you do not need any special materials!
Tip 6 - In the flames
Another possibility is that you just don't clean the grid at all. When you have just lit the barbecue the next time, the flames will come out beautifully. If you then carefully clean the grid with a brush, it will be ready for use again!
