The grill plate is made of 3 mm steel. Because steel is a good conductive material, the grill plate will heat well on the fire bowl. Use vegetable oil before baking and scrape the leftover food into the fire with a spatula after baking. Clean the grill plate with hot water and detergent. To prevent rust, it is wise to dry a grill grate, baking tray or other cooking accessories well before storing.
