Cooking with the PIATTO outdoor kitchen is fun and easy. The steel griddle gets very hot and can be divided into different heat zones by means of the wood. The middle ring of the griddle can rise above 300°C. The outside often stays slightly cooler and is therefore good to use as a warming part or for slow-cooking a piece of meat. To let more air into the fire, you can slide open the ash drawer, at the bottom of the base, slightly. Now more air will reach the fire from below and it will get quite hot once more. When doing this, make sure there is no wood in the base.

Notice that the PIATTO does not stand completely straight? Under the base are four small legs that are easy to adjust. With these, you can easily straighten the barbecue and bake safely.

Maintenance and cleaning of the PIATTO outdoor kitchen

Maintaining the PIATTO is very easy. The base and the fire bowl are made of steel and will therefore rust naturally. This is not a problem and unfortunately cannot be prevented. Otherwise, it does not detract from the functionality of the cooking unit. Besides, cleaning the griddle is easy. You slide the food remains into the fire and wipe the griddle with a wet kitchen paper. After this, you can grease and store the griddle with a kitchen paper and oil.

To clean up the ashes from the fire tray, you can use the ash drawer. You simply slide this from the base and can easily clean it. Important with this job: remove the dry firewood from the bottom of the base, the ashes may still glow.
